TEFL PROGRAMMES
Cambridge CELTA
Cambridge CELTA ( Certificate in English Language Teaching to Adults) is the most widely recognised qualification in Teaching English as a Foreign Language ( TEFL) and is generally the minimum requirement that most employers demand.
The general aim of the scheme is to provide comprehensive initial training for entry into English Language teaching and is therefore a pre-service, initial scheme. This means that the course will concentrate on the practical rather than on the theoretical aspects of teaching and it will provide a broad perspective of classroom practice rather than a specialised narrow one.

Cambridge DELTA
Cambridge DELTA is a higher diploma in English Language Teaching to Adults designed for those who have successfully completed a CELTA course and have had at least two years experience post-CELTA.
The aim of the course is to acquire a deeper understanding of the principles and practice of TEFL to adults.
STAFF
There are two full time Cambridge approved tutors at the centre. Séamas Campbell, Course Director and Joanne McCabe, Course Tutor. Mr. Campbell is also a Cambridge Assessor for the CELTA scheme. The Centre operates an in–service training programme in accordance with Cambridge Tutor in Training schemes to train up suitably qualified teachers as teaching practice tutors. All the in-service teachers involved in the observation scheme are Celta or Delta qualified.
